Dear Potential Recycling Partners of Charitable Recycling Ink:
My name is Karen Oakes and I am the Executive Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Oconee located in Milledgeville, Ga., a community of about 45,000 people. Our agency has been a recycling partner with CRI since the latter part of 2001. Since that time we have raised over $9600. We average about $2000 to $3000 per year with this program.
The program is very simple to do and results in 100% profit for our agency. CRI provides us with all of the collection boxes, shipping boxes and even pays for shipping. All we have had to do is ask businesses, colleges and schools in our community to collect and save the cartridges (Ink jet and Laser jet toners), and then we pick them up and ship them to CRI about once a month.
Our profits have grown each year. In the first year we only raised about $1300. In the following year we raised almost $4000! It just takes time for it to catch on and educating the businesses and individuals in the community about how they can help. If you are throwing away your empty toners and ink jets cartridges, you are literally throwing money into the trash! Don’t throw away those cartridges turn them into cash! Use them to start a great fundraiser for your agency or school. If you are a business, donate them to a good cause in your area.
Sincerely, Karen Oakes Executive Director
